On Friday, June 12, 2026, Frog Pond Elementary created a human flag in honor of America's 250th birthday. Each grade level was assigned a color.  The Little Egg Harbor police department provided a drone to capture the moment.

Superintendent – Little Egg Harbor School District, Ocean County, Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey

The Little Egg Harbor Board of Education seeks an experienced and highly qualified Superintendent who is a proven, results oriented, and exceptional educational leader with demonstrated administrative and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate has the ability to continue strategic initiatives aimed at supporting students and moving the district towards the next strategic plan. The district serves approximately 1,700 students in grades Pre-K-6 in three schools with an operating budget of approximately $36 million.

The successful candidate will be a community oriented individual with exceptional interpersonal communication skills. In addition, it is expected that the selected candidate will work collaboratively with the Board, staff, students, parents and community.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. A valid New Jersey School Administrators Certificate.
  2. Prior experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or Central Office Administration.
  3. Proven ability to lead with consistency and strong communication across all stakeholder groups.
  4. A visible, approachable leader who actively engages with the school community.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to fostering a positive organizational culture grounded in respect and trust.
  6. Knowledge of school finance, operations, facilities, and resource management,special education and transportation.
  7. Experience addressing school safety and security and emerging educational challenges.
  8. Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and strong moral character.

COMPENSATION

The Little Egg Harbor Board of Education is prepared to offer a salary and benefits package based on background, experience, and state law/regulations within the range of $170,000.00- $195,000.00.
